Training the Physical and Mental states

There are many things to do in order to stay in shape during quarantine. Swimming is a sport that consists mainly of two things: the physical and mental state. It is 80% mental and 20% physical. To perform at your very best, you must be at 100% both physically and mentally. To train your physical during quarantine, your workouts must consist of both muscle building and cardio. Some cardio exercises may include jump roping, running, and boxing. I have not lifted weights before, and if you haven't, I do not recommend starting without a trainer. An excellent way to build muscle includes bodyweight exercises. To train your arms, you can do pull-ups or push-ups. To train your core, there are many exercises you can do: sit-ups, russian twists, leg raises, flutter kicks, and many more. Finally, to train your legs, you can do lunges, jump squats, and wall sits. To train your mind while you train your physical, you must always push farther then what you believe to be your limits. You must always exceed your limits in order to create new ones. In the water, you must get comfortable when you are uncomfortable. You must always push yourself to get used to the constant pain so that you can push through races at meets.
