What you do not see

Swimmers think that the reason why some are faster than others is because of talent. They are wrong. Talent is not what makes a great swimmer. Dedication and hard work make champions. Dedication means working hard when no one is around. Dedication is working when no one else does. You can be the most dedicated swimmer on a team, however, it means nothing without hard work. You can show up every day to practice, but it will mean nothing if you do not give it you're all every minute of every practice. Champions were not made overnight. If being a champion were easy, there would not only be one Micheal Phelps. When you see Olympians on the podium crying. It is not for show. They cry of joy because the thousands of hours of pain and sweat paid off. They came out on top, and that is the greatest feeling in the world. Remember, when a swimmer is in the same age group as you, and he is amazingly fast, it is not because of talent. It is because they train harder than you. Nothing is written in stone in life. It is all about who wants it more.
